Question: How Do I Find the Chatrooms?
Answer: The Chatrooms are available by clicking the "List All" button. This will list all the chat rooms for all of the servers you are connected to. The "Srv Index" column is letting you know which servers are hosting which chats. Double click on any chat to enter the chat room. As with everything in audioGnome, all columns are sortable simply by clicking on the column title.
Question: How do i make my own chat room?
Answer:
There are 2 ways in which you can make you very own chat room.
1) Right
click on a chat room, in the specific server you want your room to be.
Then choose "Create or Join Room", then a dialog window should appear,
and all you have to do is enter your room name.
2) Go
into any chatroom, and type /join <channel> . And
you will automatically be in your own chat room !
Question: What is "Chat via IRC"?
Answer: This will take you to the web2 tab, and you will then be able to chat live with audioGnome users.
Why when i am chatting i see that i have zero shares??
Solution: I will list a couple of reasons why this may cause this
1. You have not selected the correct folder where your mp3s are located at.
2. If you are connected to numerous servers, the client audioGnome, takes time to send to each individual server the number of shares you have. So for example, if you join server number 134 and the server that first connected was server number 1, then most likely if you join a chat room, it will say 0 shares next to your handle.
Note: It takes about of few seconds for a 56k modem, to send the server how many shares you have. The more servers you have connected the longer it'll take for each server to have your shares.

| /nick | changes your Nickname |
| /join # | join another channel |
| /me | shows an "action" that you are doing. (ex: by typing /me gets a coke, the chat screen will show " gets a coke" in a different color that shows an "action." |
| /whois or /finger | displays information about the user. |
| /motd | shows the message of the day. This is normally some basic information current to the chat channel. |
NOTE: +v & +o if
someone gives your nick a +v, that means you have been "voiced" in the
chat channel. A + sign will now be seen next to your nick. On some channels
being "voiced" is the only way you can chat on the channel. All other times
this is just someone being nice but it is essentially meaningless. If someone
gives you're nick a +o, this means you have been given "op" status. an
@ sign now appears next to your name. Op status allows you to ban people,
muzzle, kick etc those who do not have op status.
